Tack! Världen
Stockholm, January 29, 2001

Dear friends,
We are very happy to announce that the Swedish Government, January 25, decided to give economic assistance to KILEN for the year of 2001 and they will also make a plan for an economically long-range support.

We have been in a very exposed position and we have asked you for support. You have supported us with letters, faxes, mails and telephonecalls. A lot of your support has been directed towards the Swedish Minister of Health and Welfare, Mr Lars Engqvist.
We know that your support together with and in addition to our work here in Sweden and in cooperation with you has ultimately brought us to success.

Thank you for your support! Every signature, every letter, fax, mail and telephone-call has been of the utmost importance to make possible a continued work of KILEN!

Together we are strong and powerful. Together we have consumer power. Let us use that power!

Something about Consumer Reports on Medicines and the global network RE:ACT!

First of all, we want you to know that the Consensus Document from the Sigtuna-Conference on Consumer REPORTS on Medicines (Sept. 29 Oct.1 2000) is on our website: kilen.org, or is available to order from KILEN. Right now we have an English version, and working on a Russsian and Spanish version. We are very interested in getting in contact with translators for a French and German version of the Consensus Document on Consumer Reporting on Medicines. Anyone who has the opportunity, please contact KILEN!

There is also an eleven-minutes-video-documentation from the conference. The video is a presentation to "good arguments" for Consumer Reports on Medicines... It helps in fund-raising!
Please contact KILEN if you are interested in a copy!

We are still collecting proposals for "consumer-reporting-projects". By now we have a few proposals from each continent. Very good and powerful. Please, send us your proposal!
We are very interested in presenting these CRM-projects on our web-site. We will come back with more information soon.

Right now we are also working on fund-raising for the global network RE:ACT!

Thank you for all your support! Let´s make 2001 a consumer empowerment year!

All the best from
